Privacy Policy

Last updated October 14, 2026

At OmniSite.org, your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we do and do not collect, and how it is used.

1. What you put into the tools

Our tools run in your web browser. Text you type or paste, files you open, and passwords or codes you generate are processed on your own device. We do not receive, store or log any of it, and you do not need an account or any personal information to use the site.

Three tools need to make a network request to do their job:

  • Email Deliverability Checker. The domain name you enter, and any DKIM selector you type, are sent as DNS queries to Cloudflare's public DNS resolver (cloudflare-dns.com), or to Google Public DNS (dns.google) if Cloudflare does not answer. These queries ask for the domain's public DNS records and contain nothing else. See Cloudflare's resolver privacy policy and Google Public DNS privacy.
  • DNS Lookup. The domain name you look up, or for an IP address its reverse lookup name, is sent the same way to Cloudflare's resolver, or to Google Public DNS if Cloudflare does not answer. If you choose to compare the two resolvers, it is sent to both. As with any request your browser makes, the resolver also sees your IP address.
  • Link Preview Checker. The HTML you paste is read in your browser and is never uploaded. To draw the previews, your browser loads the preview image and icon directly from the addresses in that HTML, so the servers hosting them see an ordinary image request from your browser, as they would if you visited the page.

A few tools load extra code or data from omnisite.org itself when you use them, such as the passphrase word list and the QR code reader. Those requests carry nothing you entered. The Photo Metadata Remover and the QR Code Scanner offer a link to OpenStreetMap when a photo or a scanned code contains a location; the coordinates are sent to OpenStreetMap only if you click it.

2. Cookies & analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they use. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects information such as:

  • Browser type and version, and device type
  • Pages visited and time spent on the site
  • Approximate location, derived from your IP address
  • The site that referred you

We look at this data in aggregate and do not use it to identify individuals. It never includes what you type into the tools. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.

Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are asked whether to allow analytics and advertising cookies. To change your answer, clear this site's data in your browser and you will be asked again.

3. Hosting

The site is a set of static files served by Amazon Web Services, through Amazon S3 and the CloudFront network. Like any web server, CloudFront receives your IP address and browser details in order to deliver each page. We have not turned on CloudFront or S3 access logging, so we keep no record of those requests. The fonts, icons and scripts the pages use are served from omnisite.org itself. The only other companies every page contacts are Google, for the analytics and advertising described in sections 2 and 4.

4. Advertising

We display ads served by Google AdSense, which pay for the site. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google in Google's My Ad Center, and opt out of personalized ads from many other vendors at aboutads.info or, in Europe, at youronlinechoices.eu.

For more about how Google uses data from sites that show its ads, see https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

5. Children

The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

6. External links

Our website links to other sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those external sites.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the date at the top.
